What to expect from your first visit


My goal is to address your health concerns at their source, starting with your first visit.


We will take the time to discuss any concerns you have and ensure that you leave feeling educated, empowered, and motivated to bring your health and lifestyle into balance.


Create a vision for your health

Your initial consultation will take approximately 60 minutes. I will take a thorough history to understand your background, and current state of health. Clearly establish what you would like to achieve in terms of health and preventative medicine. However, we may request information pertaining to:


  • Family history
  • Diet
  • Lifestyle
  • Stress
  • Environmental exposures in your home and work environment


Your appointment may also include a physical examination and laboratory tests, to provide a clear picture of your complete structure of health.

Establish a clear, definitive plan


Naturopathic medicine treats the whole person. Therefore, we consider a person’s entire ecology and lifestyle before diagnosing an illness, or to determine a course of treatment. In addition, by using the latest in diagnostic panel testing, I will help you to implement a treatment protocol that will pinpoint the source of distressing symptoms, and help you return to feeling well.

Build a strong foundation


Taking action to reduce or eliminate lifestyle dietary, and environmental factors that can contribute to the onset of illness in the first place, is a logical place to begin building a structure of health. This may involve:


  • Restoring appropriate hormone levels
  • Identifying the source of irritation and inflammation
  • Detoxification (removal of toxins).

Implement supporting structure


We encourage all of our patients to be active and engaged in their own health care. However, we’ll help guide you in making specific lifestyle changes, such as improving sleep habits, eating well, and following an exercise regime.

Add building blocks


Using a combination of homeopathy, botanical medicine, traditional Asian medicine and other natural supplements that can be used in conjunction with conventional medicine, we’ll strengthen your body’s natural healing ability and shore up resources to prevent nutritional deficiencies and combat age-related illness.

Preventative medicine and maintenance


Once you have achieved your initial health goals and your symptoms have improved, we can help you to continue to build on your understanding of how to gently bring your mind and body back into equilibrium before disease states occur.
